Werner Lamont stond zelf ruim 60 jaar op de tatami en was gedurende meer dan 40 jaar het absolute boegbeeld van Judoclub Deerlijk. Voor zijn jarenlange inzet kreeg hij tijdens de Sportviering 2.0 een Lifetime Achievement Award overhandigd. Het kunstwerk zelf – vier kopjes die vier personen voorstellen – is van de hand van Monique Vandenabeele van keramiekatelier Terra. Werner Lamont en zijn echtgenote Dimka Degrijze worden op de foto geflankeerd door voorzitter van de kernraad sport Rik Devos, schepen van Sport Matthias Vanneste, burgemeester Claude Croes en sportfunctionaris Jo Lambrecht.
